You can get a better deal from Dellrefurbished when they have 45-50% coupons. Granted MC would be easier for returns.

Here's an example, but I noticed Dell raised their prices this month.

$650 shipped after 45% coupon.

Latitude 7490, 8th gen i7 vs 6th gen at Microcenter.
I7 8650U
16GB DDR4
512GB SSD
Thunderbolt 3
14" 1920x1080 Touch screen.

There's cheaper 7490 models usually but not right now.

Sorry but just no at anywhere near that price.
Latitudes are great built....I have a Lat E5430 and E6530 still in use.....

But the performance difference between old systems and current is just immense.
Lets not forget that no doubt the HDD is not NVME but SATA.
Wifi is likely not AC or AX unless they swapped out the WIFI module and no comment they did.

And how many components have maybe 5+ years of wear, that were not replaced and may go poof in 91 days.

It is not officially Win11 compatible.
Even if you don't want Win11 Today...
I certainly would want it to be a supported option. (Yeah, I know there are hacks.)
