Yes, the Costco brushes have Lithium-Ion batteries. The 1000 has NiMH which wear out and do not hold much charge after a year or two

looks like there have been some recent deals for this plus 3 replacement heads for similar price.
I know we don't have a time machine but I wonder if those will pop back up if you don't need it now.

Picked up the io series oral B line off a slick deal... never going to use another brand or line of tooth brush. Io series is that good!
