I have this cam in my beater car for the last 2 years in Austin TX w/o issues. I would recommend it.

Im in Austin. I don't think that lane detection and collision system is gonna fly in Austin. I have heart attacks whenever I'm in i35 or 130. This is gonna just to aggravate it for me

I will never recommend any Dash Cam for the ADAS functionality as they can get really annoying due to lack of integration between the car and the device (i.e. the device does now know if the lane change signal is blinking and will give warnings each time you change lanes). Even the built in Lane Departure Warning in my Odyssey Elite can be annoying so I turn it off. This is a $50 dash cam (normally go for about $65-$70 on Amzn regularly). I don't expect much, outside of my expectation that it records video reliably and good quality in case of an accident. I would recommend this for those looking for a front facing cam at a good price. I do recommend both front and rear though, which this deal does not have.
