It was before. But you could chat or call and get it. I don't think they have it anymore. I found out through a similar thread before. Either way even at 499 this is a good price. You can get target or Amazon to match and get 5% further off via their respective cards.

64GB is much too small for my iPad use. Heck, the IpadOS takes up like 6GB alone. Memory is cheap. Apple needs to stop being so chintzy with memory on the iPads.

The regular iPad 64gb starting price is 329. You can also keep an eye on the apple refurbished site. They look and feel brand new and I've never had an issue with any I've bought. The mini 64gb was 339 a few days ago but out of stock right now.

That answer to that is an easy one. Why, when people will pay $100 more for +32GB? Same reason they use outdated hardware. Profit... Thumbs downs inbound, Apple users don't like truth.
