This is a very bright lantern style light. Just be aware that it has some buzzing on the lower brightness setting. Doesn't matter at an actual work site and it's really hefty and durable.
DeWalt is taking a "cordless light" too literally and this light and the tripod light both are battery only. Imagine a light like this you could plug in that would charge your battery and switch to battery power if corded power ran out! So close to awesome.
They read your mind already. The problem is that it is $400 and not sure if you can mount it on the their existing tri-pods. They still have some work to do...for a diyer led light.

Great light. Had mine for about 1 1/2 years. Have not used a double head halogen light on the post since then. In fact, gave mine of that style away about three months ago.
Can this be run off a cord too or is it just battery powered?

Yeah, but then you wouldn't need as many batteries!
