Good price on this IMO. I paid $100 more a year ago (retail) and use this extensively for remodeling projects. Not only is it super bright, the cooler light color is great for painting. I'll go ahead and call out the only con vs. the Milwaukee Rocket lights, which is that this does not offer dual power options (no wall plug, only batteries). Not a deal breaker for me, as I get a few hours on high on a 5Ah 20v battery - plenty of time to charge a spare and swap as needed.

Huge fan of this light and (IMO) this is a great price for what it is. If you need a portable light and you're in the DeWalt battery system, this is great.
Just picked one up when they had them $10 cheaper a few weeks ago, very bright, love it BUT do prefer the Milwaukee M18 rocket light, similar design but has the dual power option. Great deal, would be nice if it came with a carrying bag.
Great light, but keep in mind this is only battery operated without the option to plug in and use and extension cord.
That's a HUGE product hole frankly - yes these are intended to be battery-driven, but it would be really nice to have a separate inverter designed to drive all 20Vmax tools directly off of 120VAC.
It's not difficult to DIY really - inverting AC to DC is pretty straightforward, but the result will tend to be bulky due to the inverter. Here's a semi-commercial setup:
Basically, get a trash dewalt battery (just going to gut it and use the shoe/terminals), get a box and mount inside it an inverter sized for the potential current, a fuse, and wires in/out - VOILA you're all set. You might be able to use a spare charger (anyone who has a lot of dewalt stuff, the chargers tend to pile up) but I don't think they're sized for the current needed.
Would this be good for portrait/live streaming work?
No. This is designed for maximum light output rather than light quality. There are many other reasonable options which allow for color temperature adjustment and the attachment of lighting modifiers (e.g. softbox, octobox).
Color temperature adjustment important unless you are going to use this light for 100% of your light source. In that case you can use white balance to compensate but if you have mixed lighting (existing ambient sources), then color temp adjustment is relatively important.
Good deal. I paid $180 with the battery. Use this all the time. We just had a power outage the other day, put this on the lowest setting and bounced the light off the ceiling. Worked great to light up the living room. Was on for about 3 hours and still had power. I haven't timed it yet but seems like this thing is pretty good with a 4 or 5 ah battery.
Would be really nice if they had a plug in feature but they don't…. It is what it is. If you need to plug it in go with red, not yellow.

Dewalt's cheap $60 Fan, cheap vacuum to name a few do have dual power battery or outlet input. There is no reason for dewalt not put this on a $250+ MSRP on a simple LED light. Even this $130 price, it is still begging for the that outlet input.
To make it really worse, Milwaukee's little M12 and M18 Rocket similar tripod LED lights are equipped with outlet inputs without noticeable weight and volume gains. Other companies like Ryobi also have outlet inputs on their LED tripod lights.
And VOILA! you can do all your DIY and make it work for you but you can also just buy other cheaper Tripod LED lights with hybrid power inputs.
