There are much better games, with better gameplay, and easier scoring. This should never have been released. It tarnishes the brand.
I have a 5 and 8 year old. Both into Minecraft. Im assuming it would be too much for the 5 year old but ok for my 8 year old? I see it shows 10+

We have a 5 and 12 year old. Our 5 year old plays it fine. We are a Catan, 7 Wonders, etc sort of family, this game is in our normal rotation. It's great at introducing more complex strategies and thinking ahead, while not taking too long. There are multiple ways to get points. My youngest loves to go around and kill mobs. The rest of us are more cutthroat in maximizing points. It's a good teaching example of how to sacrifice one round (3 total rounds) point potential to maximize a different scoring round.
Thanks! This is really helpful. Was leaning towards no after the initial response but now back towards yes. We play Catan Junior with my 5 year old but haven't tried the normal Catan with him yet.
My son got the hang of it quickly as a 6-year-old. If he is motivated to learn and has a bit of patience he could do it.
