This is by far the most convoluted variation of this deal I've seen posted so far.

There's no requirement at all to purchase 2 in this deal, and if someone wanted to, they could probably figure out how to add a 2nd one. lol

Yeah it seems like the pavilion and omen deals aren't stacking coupon with EPP. Not sure about EDU. But the prices have changed a little so I think they're still about as good or possibly better than previous deals requiring EPP.

May be convoluted, but you do understand the reasoning, right? You need a $1k minimum to use WINTER10 if I understand right, whether you hit that $1k with one PC or two or whatever. WINTER10 is better than WINTER5 for obvious reasons.

Sure, but that can work with 2 equal lower machines or one upgraded 3060 machine. I don't think they even mentioned the $1k minimum for the coupon in their reasoning. It ust struck me funny the way it was chosen.

The $908 3060 build is the best winter/pavilion deal IMO, which they also mentioned in the body.

It's a $1k requirement they failed to mention, which is why the "buy 2 systems with different tiers of gpu" struck me funny when there's no need to put it that way.

I assume you can you pull the graphics card and eBay it? Looks like $700 or more if I search for the card as described on HP's product page: "NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 (12 GB GDDR6 dedicated)".

Seems like a decent desktop computer just with the Ryzen 3 5300G and onboard Vega 6 graphics. Not a gaming machine but a solid student / home office build. And the net price is great if you can resell the RTX 3060.

I guess the risk is that graphics card prices crater or that HP delays shipment for months (as reported in the other HP gaming PC thread).

Anyone else considering this?

They're probably not doing FIFO with order fulfillment. My guess is that planned/ordered/received a big batch of these specifically for this BF sale, and only to be used to fulfill this sale. Everything ordered previously is part of their normal fulfillment timelines.
