I posted this this when it had $150 off 2-3 months ago. I have this kit and I'm really happy with it. It had $150 off several times in the past, so we can assume it will go on $150 off sale again.

How long does the 2TB HDD last if all 8 channels are recording daily? I wonder why they give 3TB HDD to the 4-camera kit.

It comes with 8 cameras and it records for 3 3/4 days when all cameras are recording.

I have been using their 1080p kit with 4 cameras for many years. It has 2TB HDD as well and I think it records up to 7 days. I would like to upgrade to 4k system but am hesitant because of this shortcoming. Any vacation may take longer than 3 days.

It supports up to 8TB max if you'd like to upgrade it. I'm fine with the almost 4 days recording because of the smart person and car detection.

The stream quality can be adjusted and you can change it to the detection clips and not continuous mode

Thanks but not sure I want to tinker with the HDD and void the warranty. I may end up using just 6 cams perhaps that it should record 25% longer

True but I wouldn't want to use that mode. When one of the neighbors got broken into, police showed up asking for help to retrieve footage. I can think of other reasons why I need the continuous mode.
