This previously expired deal is now showing "backordered" on Newegg with ETA of 11/24 - so folks may want to get back in line for this. Deal had an original effective date of 11/22 thru 11/27. So if you missed out early this AM, you have another chance.

From Newegg's Black Friday deal. Read/write speeds seem a halfway between say, Samsung 970 Evo Plus and 980 Pro speeds (claimed sequential read/write of 5000/4400 MB/sec). Phison E16 controller. TLC.
Assuming it's a decent drive, $75 (down from $170) seems like a deal.
$75 Black Friday = $170 pre-Black Friday - $75 Instant Savings - $20 Mail in Rebate.
First link is to Newegg's Black Friday flyer - see page 18 for this deal. Second link is to the Newegg page for this device, which presumably is where to purchase it come Nov 22. Third link is to MSI's page for this drive.

Here are some reviews from the past year (since the Spatium brand name was new to me, though obviously MSI is not).

This drive claims high endurance - 1600 TBW.
Anyone have experience with this drive?
Happy Black Friday!

It should work fine, as long as it's a Gen 4, which it is. You'll more than likely get a warning about possible reduced performance when setting it up (this drive is 5,000MB/s, while the Sony recommended is 5,500MB/s), but there are plenty of reviews of slower drives working perfectly fine without a hiccup. If I had a PS5 (I have a Series X and PC), I'd jump on this in heartbeat. I'm waiting for Direct Storage to become a thing for PC games before I upgrade my Gen 3 drive in my PC.
Edit: you'll need a heatsink for the drive in the PS5. They're readily available on Amazon for cheap.
The invoice they send you will have the date of when the item actually comes into stock, not when you order. If the order takes too long to fulfill, it's not going to be within the rebate period.
So if shipping takes too long, you could lose out on the rebate. Just something to be aware of.
