Had something like this before. It was horrible, too difficult to drink out of and if it was too loose it would leak. Just skip the sippy cup and buy a straw cup. Something like a funtainer or anything with a straw. We had a silipint cup with lid and straw; it didn't leak when it fell over or even when I turned it upside down. (The new silipint lids may be different we have the older version)
Go from baby bottle to straw cup. It's great for speech development. And if you really want them to drink out of a cup look for something like a 5.5oz cup. We had a silipint kids cup. Worked great for us.
