The SE version is the Gen 4 version while the non-SE SN750 is the Gen 3 version, though realistically, you won't really notice a difference as fast is still fast.

The SN750 SE is a crippled version (removed DRAM) of the original SN750. And the current iterations of the SN750 (non SE) have poorer parts crippling the write speed to < 1000
