This deserves front page. I have used PluralSight at work, for my dev teams. A higher cost alternative: LinkedIn Premium is $30/mo to get you LinkedIn Learning. That's no better, and is a LOT more. This is a great deal here.
What's the difference between standard and premium subs? Number of courses?
You can go to the website and actually browse or filter courses by std and premium, and search for courses you might be interested in. E.g. a lot of photoshop courses are premium. But a lot of technical software or networking can be found in std.
Also, don't miss out on the 10% rak cb. $179 becomes $161.

I don't know if it's still this way but a few years ago you can download the courses code with the premium membership. E.g you want to follow along with the programing course. Some courses had finished code so you don't have to retype it.

I have an annual standard subscription, I would like to load up for another year and possibly premium since they include certification. Anybody know if this can be done, if not how this upgrade works?

I tried and it wouldn't let me renew at the discount price. My sub ends nov 30 hopefully the sale lasts until then

Did you get any Black Friday / 40% OFF emails from [email protected]?
I think the "Renew Now" link in those emails is specific to your account vs the https://www.pluralsight.com/offer...-cm-40-off link for everyone else.
It let me renew early even though my sub ends on Dec. 2
P.S. Here's the fine print from the BF email:
"Renew your premium plan now to save a whopping 40% on another year of Pluralsight Skills.* We can't wait to see how far you go!
*New subscriptions, upgrades and early renewals only. Discount cannot be retroactively applied to existing subscriptions. Promotion applies only to Pluralsight Skills. Discount is available until November 29 at 11:59 p.m. MT."
P.P.S. I found an old email from Oct. 18 saying I was going to keep my old BF promotional rate when my sub auto-renewed on Dec. 2 so you might not need to worry?!?!
