Found in Newegg, unlocked LG V50 GSM phone (Korean Model) without dual screen for $161.64 + taxes. Free shipping. Apparently comes with Android 9, upgradeable to Android 11. Probably dual sim.
Gorilla glass on both sides, UFS 2.1 128GB storage, 6GB ram, OLED screen, water & dust proof IP68 with drop rating MIL-STD-810G (I'd still recommend a good case & scratch guard)
Simply mentioned as octa-core in specs but I assume it should still be Snapdragon 855
Primary cam has a nice low f/1.5 but check out reviews for photo quality if that's important.
Note: LG Mobiles has ceased operations, but this is a great price for a product with high-end specs (as of the time of its release) from a mostly reputable brand
Software updates may or may not be there - personally not a deal-breaker, may not be the case for you

Edit: Seller has marked this item as 'New' on Newegg and has confirmed the same when contacted. At the same time, seller primarily deals in refurbished items (something that I've come to understand a bit late). So objectively, it is quite possible the seller is lying and the item is actually a used product that's refurbished/reconditioned to look like new.
Therefore:
At this price, this isn't just a deal, its a 'steal' : If its new, its quite a deal, bordering on 'steal', but if it isn't, its nothing more than an average listing. Decide accordingly. Price has gone up to $165.17 from $161.64.
For my part, once the product arrives I'll send a mail to LG with the IMEI/Serial and figure it out with them.
So much for my first post.

I have not heard of this being fixable, although I'm not an expert.
Nothing fixed it. Bought a new phone (ZTE Axon 10 Pro) and zero problems.

No idea. I had a V20 and never had an issue with it. Still own it as a backup just in case. Axon 10 pro is a good phone with similar specs to the v50, but I don't think that you can find one anywhere for under $200.

"We utilize the most advanced tools in the industry to test and refurbish our products. Every device must pass our rigorous triage and quality processes in order to be made available for sale on NewEgg. The work we do on refurbished products is performed by factory certified technicians in a professional operation - nothing is repaired in a garage or a warehouse."

hmm.. i've had good experiences with newegg before so didn't expect this twist... any tips on how to identify a refurbished vs new product (barring the super-competitively low price which can be brushed aside easily as 'deal') ..?

Thanks for doing that.
Besides looking at the actual pics and knowing the warranty length, none that I know of.
Looking forward to your reply from the seller.
seller says it is "new", and they do have other listings with refurbished status clearly mentioned.
that said, as others correctly pointed out, they primarily deal in refurbished goods, so decide accordingly.
they also seem to have an ebay listing with a better rating, many products marked as refurbished and a similar product marked as new.
guess i'll just have to send a mail to LG and see if they can help clarify via the IMEI/serial, once the product arrives.
TMobile is not supporting them
