There are countless comparison videos on YouTube for more in depth information on each.
The 6S is certainly a better choice.

get the pro which has music, maps etc.. base model is limited... if plan is to use as informal fitness watch , then gamin instinct is better value at $170 IMHO
I bought this over the 6. Main reason I bought this is it has a *sapphire* crystal, same as my 3+ year old Fenix 3HR which will be retired. The 3HR has been through multiple Tough Mudders, a few thousand miles of running, and 3-years of daily wear without any scratches on the crystal. I doubt a non-sapphire crystal would have failed as well. I don't think the 6 pro has sapphire crystal as standard. So this 5X plus was my choice.
Also, while this 5X plus is "refurbished", if it's anything like my 3HR which was also refurbished, there was nothing to tell it apart from new. Methinks the only thing the 6 gets you is an updated interface, but TBH, the interface on the 3 and 5 works fine.

6s does have maps AFAIK. It doesn't appear to have WiFi, though, and doesn't have the blood oxygen do-dad. 6s is smaller, too, if that matters. Again, the sapphire display is a really big benefit of this deal IMHO.

My previous Garmin, 405 was retired because of the battery. My current 635 will be retired within a year because of the battery. It still gets me through 3-4 days but it used to get me through nearly 2 weeks.
My watches have lasted 8 years and 6 years. If I bought a $320 watch and the battery only lasted 2-3 years I'd be upset as both my previous watches were much cheaper. ($180 for the 405 and $220 for the 635 - both on "sale").
