Great post. I saw this email also! That $1k for the 15" deal was amazing. I don't regret purchasing at $1,200 and $1,149 at the end of 2020 to have had it all this time. Got my 73yo dad to get one at $1k.

Before someone comments on how much better a deal it is to build your own sub, thats true. BUT it takes space, time, skills, and planning. If you can't build your own for whatever reason, these subs are a tremendous value.
If you want to build your own, the Ultimax flat box kits from Parts Express are awesome. Cheap and easy to build, just glue, clamp, and screw and you're in business.

anytime someone says it will be better to build your own sub/speaker/NAS/car/butt plug/etc, i just ignore them. these people are too stupid to be reasoned with. if we felt like making one, we would have already done it. i feel like that's obvious.
as for the deal, i was hoping for a better price on the 10 or 12 inch versions than the current "sale". i don't want anything this big. might go for the Bowers & Wilkins aws610 sub from best buy with my 20% off coupon.

I have a Bowers and Wilkins ASW10 Series 1 that I bought a few years ago when they were phasing them out and going to the Series 2
I bought it for 65% off MSRP at Magnolia. I still have it
I am going to tell you that the B&W subs have some seriously inflated MSRP..as do the speakers
I think the 10" Monolith is a MUCH better subwoofer
Not as pretty...but a much higher performing unit
The Monolith subs are top notch performers in their respective classes and these prices are pretty much unbeatable by any of the competition, such as SVS, Rythmik, PSA etc..
Otherwise, I would rather grab 2 10 inch over the 15inch if you're at that budget
That's some REALLY bad advice. The Monolith 10" is a good little sub, but the 15" is in a whole other stratosphere when it comes to overall performance and extension.
It's been more than 45 days and I purchased before the price went up, so Im happy with the purchase. Also, dual subs are awesome.
If you have multiple seating the dual subs can be advantageous to even out the bass for those seating locations, provided you have them properly placed. Of course, dual 15" subs would be even better.
