This is PXG new "budget" iron. When this iron came out it was originally listed at $80 per club. They have just jacked the price up to make you feel like you are getting a good deal. I would not jump on this deal unless you know you absolutely want these clubs and love the way the look, hit, and feel.
I know that some just do not like PXG as a brand and honestly if you don't like them I have no problem with it but passing misinformation is just goofy. That said... as someone who has bought their clubs on a couple of occasions now there's a couple of this that probably need to be set straight.
The initial issuance price for these on release was $119, hero pricing was less at $99. Shortly after their release they offered hero pricing to everyone for a time and the price went to $99 per club...which I can prove because I still have my receipt from back in January of this year. At the time they also had a call in special... if you called in you got another $5 per club discount so the net price per stick was $94. Any nonsense about them having been released at $80 and the price later jacked is just not true. The price has fluctuated between $89-119 up til the current sale. $75 per club had not been done previously and is by far the best price they have offered it at. While I have not checked all the brands, I bet that if you look at other irons which use a hollow body and a foam filling you will be hard pressed to find as good a price.
If you do go in for a fitting they will ask if you would like to try the other irons they have to offer to see if you can be better fit into one of them. You do not have to do so. What you buy or don't buy is up to you. This has pretty much been the norm for every fitting I have ever been through in over 40 years of playing golf. All the nonsense about bait and switch is just... well nonsense.
Whether or not you decide to get fit is up to you. If you are a taller, shorter, etc. player than a fitting most certainly might be in order to determine the correct length and lie angle for you. There are other reasons to be fit too..but in the end it's up to you if spending $50 for a fitting is worth it or not.
The 0211 DC's are definitely a good value IMO. I like the feel of them and the fact that they offer a degree of forgiveness without looking too chunky at address. Everyone is different as to what they like so they obviously are not for everyone but I think it is disingenuous to deny they are a good value at $75 per (which works out to 83.58 with shipping per club) when you are buying a stock set.

I only need two clubs but I don't want to play $60 shipping for 2 clubs. Any way around the high shipping fee for CA residents?
I tried hitting a few clubs last weekend at the Chicago PXG location. They said they can waive shipping fee if I ordered the set and pickup at the store. Might be worth calling your closest PXG shop to see if they can work out a deal for you.

PXG somewhat takes the Jos A Bank modeling of making you feel like you're getting a great deal. I have the genIII 0311P irons and I do love them but at roughly $1300 all in shipped they're at the same price point as comparable sets. I believe the newest generations are milled and forged versus older generations are just forged.
Again, super happy with my irons but they weren't a smoking deal just like this isn't much of a deal.
I've been watching the iron prices and this is slightly cheaper than the norm. I got the 0811X RH 9 Prototype Driver towards the end of the season and love it. I'm a big slicer and it definitely helps cut down on the spin/slice.

That would be per iron, not for the set
For me, they were really a game changer. My GIR stat went through the roof!
First day/swing with the 5 iron I won a $90 greenie, paid for the club!
YMMV
