The deal is $39.xx here. I saw they are still being sold for $74.99 on some web sites. That doesn't really help though. They look like trash, PITA, and wasted money. I'm skipping this one. Thanks anyway OP.
I have these - got them when JBL oversold a cheaper pair of buds two years ago.
The sound quality is really good, but they're a little bulky in ear and prone to fall out. They make my ear canals itch, too, for some reason. The battery case is huge, so you can't comfortably keep them in your pocket. I will say, $40 is a good price. They used to retail for more than $100.
This is a solid set of earphones. Great sound and quality and a steal at $40. A bit bulky but I have no issue with fitment. Comes with multiple silicone fitments for custom fit. I've used this for almost two years now for my running. Holds up well in any downpour.

Still 4.5 stars overall. I have has these for over 6 months now and they have been great. The extra contoured ear pieces fit my ear well and don't fall out unlike many others with just the silicone dome shape.
The audio pass through works well to talk to people without taking them out by just clicking the left one, but at work I usually just keep one in to hear other people.
The case is kind of big so you aren't slipping them I to skinny jeans, but that isn't much of an issue for me.
We have 3 pairs of these in our house and 2 of them one of the headphones will not charge anymore. The third is very finicky to get just right in order for it to stay charging.
The charging contacts are very prone to failure. Swapping cases doesn't matter it's the contacts on the headphones themselves.
