Apparently, US Cellular does not service my area (odd). However, I tested the promo with a Zip Code that they do service and none of the phones were free or even discounted in any way even though the promo was clearly shown on the phones. Also, there was no way to deal with the trade-in for the most expensive phones that require a trade-in.
Better deal than any of the big 3 carriers, but this is not a free phone, it's a phone you get for a 3-year contract. US cellular is late to the party, the vile and dishonest business model brought to the industry by T-Mobile (most hostile and anti-consumer carrier in the US) after they claim to have killed 2-year contracts and promptly introduced 3-year bill credits reverse contracts to replace them
