Is it actually good on the Switch though? Switch ports aren't exactly shaping up to have a stellar reputation

Yeah, it's a solid port.

But…

No mod support at all (which really limits the fun for returning players).

And the same bugs that have *always* existed in skyrim still exist, so, you know, save often.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen this go under $30 (which is criminal).

All that said, for someone who merely wants this on the go—or for the lucky first time players—this is a solid buy in terms of how many hours you'll spend (lose?) to this mammoth of a game. It's still in the top ten games of all time, for me.

Switch tax sucks.
