There is no way I see the $30 value in a case and charging adapter or more blades than I need and a guard that will never get installed... The point of this thing is to be tiny and take up as little room as possible when you travel. The case adds 3 times the volume to carrying it around. It comes wit 3 batteries! It's not like I will be wanting to fly longer than that at any given time...

This package is way better for me than the $230 option. If you are worried about breaking it without a case, take that $30 saved and spend it on the $39 DJI care instead and enjoy free drones for a year even if you break it, crash it, whatever...

The case is convenient to carry around the drone when that is the only thing you are bringing. Also it keeps everything organized rather just throwing everything in a Walmart bag or whatever you prefer to carry your drone in. Also, that charging dock also makes it worth it, much easier to charge multiple batteries.

You really need a case of some sort which are $15-$40 on Amazon. The battery dock is nice but not necessary but also can be used as a barrery pack to charge your phone or whatever. For me the case and battery dock are definitely worth the $30.

Since my kids are going to fly it in the house and train on it, I wanted those blade protection things too, included in $230 deal. For myself and outside only I'd get $199 one. Though a case seems like a good addon too.

I wouldn't recommend flying these inside your house unless you have an indoor basketball gym attached to it. It doesn't have any obstacle avoidance either. It is better to train where you have space to actually learn.

I got the mini 2 fly more combo and I would say the charging dock is worth $30 alone. Without it you will have to put each individual battery into the drone one at a time to charge them. You also will not have a way to charge a battery while the drone is flying.
