What can I compare this to as far as popular brands go?

I've got the B&W P7, Beyerdynamic 177x & Sennheiser 6xx along with the Elegia. I think the Elegia is by and large a better headphone. EQ'ng them really helps, Google oratory's EQ or go to Audiosciencereview to get Amirm's settings (which I like better). They don't really need an amp if you don't have one. I'm using the Drop THX789 which is much better than the Schiit Heresy they replaced. The Elegia has a nice soundstage wider & deeper than the P7, not as much of a midrange bump as the 6xx & not as dry/detailed as the 177x. Not the be all/end all of headphone but a good buy @ $399 I think.

They tend to be $599 and go down to $399 every few weeks probably until sold out since they've been superseded by the Celeste.

Good price for these.

I HIGHLY recommend picking up a pair of Dekoni Limited Edition pads, or their Elite Sheepskin if the former isn't available.

I used the Celestee for a but but I like the Elagia with the Limited Edition pads even better. They punch way above their pricepoint when you add those to them. Takes about ten seconds to switch out and it's so easy you could teach a five year old to do it.

Do you find them too bright and fatiguing? Read Reports about ear ringing
