That is not my personal experience. Yes, if you use a Grubhub promo code, you must use a credit card or Paypal. However, in this case, these are not promo codes, these are gift card codes that will load into your Grubhub account as a Gift Card balance and valid payment method. You can use a promo code with an order and it will take the balance off of your Gift card balance first as the payment method and it there isn't enough of a balance to pay for the entire order, it will take the remainder from a credit card or Paypal.I've had a giftcard balance on my Grubhub account for a long time and never had a problem using a promo code with an order and paying with my gift card balance. Again, that's been my personal experience.
Edited to Add: When checking out, whether you use a promo code or not, on payment method, you have to scroll down on the payment methods and Gift Cards should be listed right under your credit cards. . Just hit "Apply Your Gift Cards".
