Hi everyone, I was able to order one of the new Shark Vertex Pro Powered Lift-Away vacuums for $299.99 (plus 8.5% b e fru gal cashback). This is an incredible deal, as (at the time of posting this) it can only be found on Amazon and Shark's website for the full price of $399.99. BB&B has it for the full price, but their 25% off entire order coupon for BF managed can be applied to this, amazingly!
Just go to BB&B, and at the top of the site, you'll see the red banner for 25% off. You have to jump through a couple hoops by entering your email address to register for the coupon, but then when you check out, you can apply the 25% off coupon by using that same email address.

I did go to Best Buy a couple times over BF weekend, and I was able to take a look at this model. It seems decently well built, and yes, the big difference with this vs all the other Stick vacs from Dyson et. al is that the weight is at the bottom. I can't say it was super light and easier to use than the Dyson's, but time will tell. I am also concerned about the battery size in this, as it seemed a bit small.
I will report back on this thread with a mini review after I've used it!
P.S. - The Dyson display area in Best Buy is so cool. All of them are on display and can be used be tested out by customers on their carpets. I'm sure the Best Buy employees encourage people to try them out as much as they want, as it makes their clean-up job at the end of the day that much easier :-D
