Not sure why its not getting more attention. This is the lowest price I've seen for Fenix 6.
Anyone else struggling to justify an upgrade? I've got my Fenix 3 hr and while it has a little more character now and I've lost a few pixels, it still does way more than i need.
the main issue with the 6 (non x) is that it doesn't have storage for music files. with all the people with wireless earbuds these days, you can't take this watch out on the trials without some other device for the earbuds.

You probably meant trails?
But anyway, not sure listening to music on trails is really smart as you lose situational awareness. Depending where you hike, this can be an issue. Do you want to be unaware of a bear around the corner?

having the option is better than not having the option. if you're walking around in the mall, you'll have to use your smartphone. having the option is always better

Is this the base model? I thought that one did not have GPS capabilities
The base Fenix 6 does indeed have GPS. However, it does not have a few features the 6 Pro has, most notably music storage and the ability to cast music via bluetooth to your headphones.
The base Fenix 6 doesn't appeal to many because (I think) a lot of runners want their expensive running watch to be a phone-replacement on runs, not something that augments it.
The first running-focused watch (So, not an Apple Watch) that can incorporate music storage and can make calls / receive texts / use data via a SIM or eSIM is going to sell tons.

and somehow I have a feeling that a Fenix 7 is due soon...
in any case, I miss my Fenix 6 (it was stolen in the gym but it was my fault for putting it on the bench).
