Unless you REALLY need Bluetooth, I can't see anyone being excited by this. They sold a pair of 4ah batteries for $45 or so a few days.

For anyone downing this battery clearly doesn't know the power of this battery. Go watch torque test channel. 3ah octane battery has the highest power output of any ridgid battery besides the 6ah max output and the unreleased 8ah max output. There is a reason ppl still buy this battery. clear different in power with every tool I use vs my 4ah hyper ion and 4ah max output.

I have seen these Octane 3ah bats and they are more powerful than the new MO 4ah in a Octane impact wrench. With the mid tq Gen5 it lost about 6% of tq with the new HO 4ah. Any idea how much less tq a standard 4ah bat is with an impact wrench? And do these provide more power in a non-Octane tool than a standard 4ah or MO 4ah?

Still not sure LSA will happen with DTO Octane bats since they are not in a kit. I know Ridgid changed that when buying from HD. Not sure about DTO.

Also, I read that the Octane bats dont last as long, fewer recharges. So, if these fail, they could be replaced with a standard or MO bat but what size. A 3ah? Its any ones guess. These things make this deal less tempting "for me".

Where? I really needs higher than 1ah to fully use a circular saw because 1ah dies every couple secs of using a circular saw and it overheat and shut off repeatedly on cordless vacuum making those tools useless. I could buy a dead high AH battery shells and build the cells myself so it's cheaper than these refurbished

It was the direct tools desk of the day a few days ago. You might get lucky and have it pop up on cyber Monday, but their sales have been very hit or miss this season.
