Good deal on a tri-ply clad similar in performance to Cuisinart's MuliClad Pro and All Clad's D3.

Has a helper handle and the sides are sloped more gently than other pans making it similar to a shallow wok style which sacrifices a bit of the flat surface area.

Inner diameter measures: 8.5 in. or 21 cm.

The photos on Home Depot are incorrect showing a pan with steeper sides. It will be the pan as shown on Amazon with the gentler sides.

Bought it from HD last week. Great quality but I wish sides weren't so angled. Losing more than a third of the cooking surface isn't cool.

Amazon reviewers say Made in China. Awful advertisement.

Ordered last week from Amazon for same price and have now cooked with it. I also own the All Clad D3 12 inch fry pan for comparison. As previously mentioned, the sides on this are more sloped than on the All Clad. The All Clad looks slightly thicker, but I have not actually measured it. Put both on a scale. All Clad: 45.5 oz. Tamontina: 49.6 oz. The difference in weight could be from handles. Its hard to say. But at first glance they appear to have similar construction. Seared some pork chops in both and didn't notice any difference in performance. For obvious reason, I can't comment on the longevity of the Tamontina. You can get the All Clad (seconds) for about double the cost of the Tamontina, once or twice a year., and that includes a metal lid. I'd say its worth the difference in cost. But if you don't need or want the lid, or simply don't want to pay the extra cost, I don't believe you will be disappointed in the this pan.

The upside to long sloping sides is improved clearance of steam. You can get better browning when searing/sauteeing
