Specs from APC:
Output
Max Configurable Power (Watts)
810 Watts / 1.35kVA
Output Frequency (sync to mains)
60 Hz +/- 3 Hz Sync to mains
Topology
Line interactive
Waveform type
*Stepped approximation to a sinewave*
Transfer Time
8 ms typical : 10 ms maximum
They do proclaim Active PFC compatibility, but I am a proponent of Pure Sine 120VAC UPSs
My dad does need a UPS for his HDTV monitor and older Desktop PC. Might grab one and test it out on my setup first (better stress test). Would prefer the BR1350MS though.
Edit: nevermind on both. The MS has some pretty bad reviews. I can't imagine this (M2) being any better.
Did APC's quality tank in the last few years or something? Now really regretting getting rid of those old beige APC units a decade or 2 ago.

Technology Connections on YouTube did a video on setting yourself up a UPS using an inverter, and he's far from the first.
