My thoughts exactly. But there are so many to choose from on Amazon, any recommendations that won't fall apart after one use?
There is definitely an engineering flaw in the remote that steps from an improper connection between the battery tray and the positive and negative leads. There is probably a trick where you can use tape to make sure the battery always stays in the correct position.
But you can also control the light from the tripod, and all the features work fine.
Overall, I am satisfied with the light output, variety of shades and colors, and height and stability of the tripod for the money I paid.
Yeah, you can spend double the money for a slightly nicer quality stand, but is it really worth the extra money? Guess it depends on what you are using it for.
My daughter just bought this the other day. I put it together for her. The legs are adjustable. And are able to be locked. I think people don't realize the legs have adjustments on them too. You can put the legs all the way flat on the ground.
