I like to know I could plug AC and other equipment into it and not burn down my home. I did try 10A types in the past and they created problems and burned out quickly and damaged the socket. Many of the "newest" ones are 15A.

Fair enough. But I don't have any high current devices I would use it on. I typically use these for fans, lamps, Christmas lights, the odd electrical component that I want to remotely power cycle. Used my last one for my helium miner so I could reset it remotely without going upstairs to hit the button. For $5, they do exactly what I want them to. If I needed 15 amp I would spend more
