Thanks OP! Ordered. Great standard lump charcoal for my ceramic grill. Agree that the distribution of chunks can be non-uniform, but the mass/$ for medium to large grills (which can even out the distribution) is hard to beat. Just gotta think about this South American trees...
Considering it's a $1 a pound while the competition briquettes are about 37.5 cents a pound is thus really 3x better.
You can't compare hardwood to briquettes. This burns hotter and lasts longer. Using briquettes is actually contraindicated in a Kamado style cooker due to the chemicals.
