Can someone direct me to a good pc ram deal for 16gb×2? My sis says she has a ryzen and the speed is 3000mhz (not sure if that means 3200-3600mhz is compatible or not)

Does the Cas latency matter as far as which laptop can use it? I know lower number is better but are laptops rated for a specific cas score or does it not matter?

I never seem to qualify. You'd think they'd throw me a bone once in a while, given how much bloody spam they send me. I received 28 emails from them since 11/20/21. That's just insane. Bugger that, I think I'll just block them. Couldn't even place any orders this black friday because they refused to accept paypal for any of the items I wanted.

There's a difference between Clock Speed and FSB or Memory speed. Clock speed is the rated speed in megahertz that the cpu functions. The FSB / Memory controller in the cpu refers to the maximum amount of RAM bandwidth that it can take advantage of. Generally, AMD Ryzen chips have large bandwidth capacity support and most of them support up to 3200mhz. Lower bandwidths will work, but the CPU will be bottlenecked by the bandwidth and reduce overall system performance. This is only if you're matching RAM with a lower bandwidth waiting than the COU caps out at. You can figure out recommended RAM bandwidths by searching for the cpu model on the internet.

CAS can make a difference, though it's more important to match Bandwidth with the maximum supported by the cpu. CAS is useful when deciding between two otherwise identical products, but you're always going to have a higher CAS with a higher bandwidth. Check your cpu model online to see what the max supported memory controller bandwidth is, and also the maximum amount of memory supported by the motherboard.
