Thanks, OP. Same discount for the EDR3RXD1 as well.

Just ordered a third-party brand b/c I'm tired of paying the premium for the OEM filter.

I can't believe how expensive these are, even on sale. The profit margin must be huge. I'm ready to ditch OEM filters in favor of an external inline filter.

Very expensive but NSF rated beyond the cheaper alternatives. Mine lasts maybe 4 months before the flow gets too slow to wait (30 seconds to fill a glass). Would really rather have an RO setup if possible.

Check eBay. I generally buy these (OEM) for much less than this - maybe the $22 range. (I just now looked and didn't see any at this price, but they were there a week ago)

I've purchased from this seller - 2 for $45, use code sellsinbulk for 7% off, which covers $3 shipping: Link [sellsinbulk.com]

I don't know this seller specifically but there are ton of fakes out there so be aware. There are ways to spot them but its so minute that you really need to sit down and compare. I bought 4 off ebay, they looked exactly like original, packaged like original but were fakes after comparison with an online guide. I didn't notice anything different in function but i would never buy them again.

Yeah that has been my experience. These things last like 3-5 months depending on usage and water quality in a 2 person house hold. We stopped using our water dispenser in our fridge because it was alot cheaper and faster to just use our old Brita filter. These things were a huge waste of money for us. I will never buy a fridge that uses this type of filter and brand.

This is robbery, even on sale. Some may frown on it but I've been satisfied with using the off brands for years. You can get a 6-pack for less than $55 over at morefilter.com using the promo codes they've got going on right now. Not sure how much it means but the GlacialPure brand they're selling is listed on the NSF website. The filter makes the water taste fine to me, and it does get noticeably worse after six months so it must be doing something.

If you want cheaper non OEM, US made and legit NSF tested then check out the Home Depot HDX filters. Though sadly even they have gone up in price a bit - but a 2 pack is currently on sale for 50 bucks. Been using those for a few years now.

You need to be careful with these on eBay or Amazon as there are tons of fakes. I buy from whirlpool direct , and use the coupon they give when ordering two. Yeh $70 or so for two but worth it to not get a fake. And it's water that you drink so not something I like to cut corners with.

I find it strange that two people spoke up in this thread for a company whose website (listed above) was created a mere 3 months ago (whois shows Creation Date: 2021-08-31T08:12:01.00Z). Seems statistically unlikely, no? As such I will look elsewhere as this is giving me shady feelings.
