Just adding to your observation for the people who need it that this has nothing to do with charging speed, only data transfer. There are both data and power lines in these cables. With 5a cables they typically will put smaller data lines to make the cables thinner since most people use them for charging. But cables with both 5a power lines and USB 3.1/2 Gen 2 data lines exsist all over the place if you need them.

Pretty much any 10 ft cable can't have high transfer rate?

No. Apple has done this. Their pro thunderbolt cable is practically art(not generally an apple fan). And you can also grab fiber optic cables. They essentially make the length mostly irrelevant.

Edit: it should also be noted that this is referring to thunderbolt. If you're hooking up an external gpu or a dock that will run 4k montitors or other extremely high bandwidth situations and you need a cable that's longer than 3 feet than yes, you'll need to shell out for the Apple pro thunderbolt cable. But for something like a Gen 2 external ssd where you're just wanting max transfer speed any USB-If certified 3.1/2 Gen 2 cable even at 10 feet will work just fine.

Possibly; max power (W) is determined by the lowest link in the chain between the brick, cable, and device, so if your S21 can support all 40W, then you're going to get 40W at most through this cable.

This cable is more useful for laptops which can charge at a rate of up to and over 100W (Apple just released a new brick that can push out 140W).
