Isn't 10mg quite a bit more than the recommended dose? I use gummies and pills and the recommended dose varies a lot but I've never seen it this high
Solid deal though
Your doctor is correct. 10 mg is way way too much, it may wreck hormonal balance and adrenal glands health if taken on a regular basis. Most people with irregular sleep problems need btw 0.5mg and 1.5mg total, if anyone needs more to fall asleep they must seriously consider changes to their lifestyle.
More is not better. Not sure why this is on the homepage. Don't buy this.

Most current advice found online and the recommendation from my sleep specialist is smallest dose in mg two hours before bedtime. I use 1mg.

10mg is really strong. I usually cut in half 5mg tablets and that (2.5mg), is more than enough. Do your own research of course, but pretty sure anything over 5mg is not good and potentially harmful.
Took a supplement that contained 10mg previously. Nothing I have ever taken has so negatively affected the quality of my sleep or restfullness. I slept, but always felt extremely groggy.
Put me in the "way too much" camp. People's thinking on melatonin, and really most consumption, is quite backwards. 3 is not 3 times better than 1!
I'm 6'2 and 235ish. Taking 10mg made me pretty nuts and useless the next morning. 1mg does the job, and I'm a very restless sleeper. Actually considering going down to .5mg to see if I get the same result.
Everyone is different, but I don't see there being many scenarios where 10mg is healthy and appropriate. It just doesn't work that way. If 1-3mg doesn't work, you need something else.

For most people YES!!! 10mg is way to much.
For those looking for a deal they sell 3mg pills at the dollar store. I still break them in half and they work fine when needed.
You should also not be using this everyday. If you need it more than 5 days in a row talk to a doctor, you may have other issues.
