I know my concern was the tongs. i think that is a cool feature. But you have to use the plastic spatula. which then limits yours use a bit. A couple reviews said they had melt issues.

Everyone I know uses a long-handled titanium spoon or spork. This is kind of the go-to option and will likely work much better.

If you poke around Amazon you can find sets of multiple long-handled titanium utensils, but I can't vouch for the brands. That said, it's kind of hard to screw this up and I use a generic Amazon one I got cheap a few years ago and its great.

I think the OP product is adequate for dehydrated meal packs.

I'd agree, it's much less hassle dealing with a single utensil. Camping is the only time I prefer eating with sporks.
