I haven't had any experience with refurb chairs, have you? This discount is pretty steep and makes it tempting consider what types of new chairs you can get for this price.

V1 and used. This chair could be 20 years old or order for all you know. I am not sure I'd be expecting greatness on these so be aware of what your getting and set expectations accordingly. I'd suggest going to your local reseller and seeing if they have any demos of the current model avail for a reasonable price if the new ones are over budget.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for whatever reason, the complete item(s) may be returned for refund.
If the item being returned is part of our "open box" clearance sale, a refund will be issued less a restocking fee of $50.00.
For all other returns a credit will be issued for the purchase price of the item, less the initial shipping charge and a 30% restocking fee.
Weird wording on the return policy. I am sure this open box return policy is what I underlined. New is full refund and buyer pay for return shipping. I don't understand the bolded part. what other purchases fall under the return policy with less initial shipping and 30% restocking fee?
Nothing wrong with buying used but I prefer being able to see and test the chair in person like cort or marketplace
Madison Seating sells used office furniture. Buying used office furniture online is hit or miss. Chairs are refurbished, often with parts from older chairs or aftermarket parts. Phone reps have not seen the actual chair you will receive. They are not an authorized seller and the warranty offered is not from the manufacturer. Disputes over condition are at your own risk and you must argue directly with the seller. Returns are expensive so you'll pay a restocking fee or partial shipping, meaning no chair and losing money. They flood the internet and your browser with ads, so people finding such ads are attracted by used chair prices, not the company reputation.
Never seen a company go such great lengths to discredit customer complaints and boast about selling furniture to "Fortune 500 companies like Google and Yahoo".

It's double-talk. Anything you thought was guaranteed is not guaranteed. Slow delivery, actual damage, worn out parts are not their fault and suddenly they are just a "reseller" saying you chose to buy a discounted used chair.
I bought it from them on Ebay back in June for $400+. My body was hurting from going through sub $100 office chairs that I couldn't sit on for more than a couple of hours. And working from home now, I needed a chair that's good for long hours. I'm around 150lbs.
This isn't a "comfortable" chair but a chair you can sit on for an entire day without your butt and/or back hurting.
If your back hurts using it, take out the lumbar support.
I advise buying from their store on Ebay instead of their site for better buyer protection and merchant accountability.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
They specifically say that they are NOT an authorized seller.
