It's not $55.99 with $50 gift card, it's $105.99 with $50 gift card. You're making it sound like the price is much lower than it actually is.

FYI, when you purchase this from Amazon, you're actually adding it to your Amazon Subscriptions. When it is licensed this way, you can't stack other O365 subscriptions purchased elsewhere.

Exactly right! And the subscriptions at Amazon auto-renew at full price. You have to cancel each Amazon subscription of O365 and start a new one, which probably won't line up with your existing subscription start/end date.

You can extend subscriptions easily now. Previously, it was a headache.

I have been using Amazon for this license for three years at discounted prices and never had this problem.

Care to share how? I try to add on (with subscription purchased elsewhere), and Microsoft says my subscription is through Amazon, and won't accept the code.

I should have been more specific. I assumed the poster was referring to an existing Amazon subscription to 365. Like most other subscriptions, you can't mix payment methods until one is used up.
