If the person you are gifting wants a "classic" Ugg then they will be disappointed. But some do prefer non-shearling boots because it is more PETA friendly. Classic shearling boots are much more comfortable and better constructed than Koolaburra line.
Editing to add: Lands End has some good ones on a great sale. $27.98 for these but there are other styles. Another good brand with colorful kids boots is Kamik.

100%. $45 is very reasonable for these.

These are the mid tier wool ones, not the shearling Uggs that are popular. Uggs also has a lower tier polyester boots.

My Reps to you.
May I please pick your brain on boots?
I'll be taking my 12 y.o. daughter up North, to see her first snow fall ..... others will be running away from a blizzard, and we'll be running into it, with Florida tags on the car, lol!!!
I've been in snow, I'm prepared .... but what should I get my daughter?
Any suggestions?
I googled the "shearling boots" you mentioned, and those are the style she'll absolutely fall in love with .... Girly Girl type.
So, I'm on the right track for style, but maybe you know a reasonable Source for size 5 (ladies' size 5) boots that'll keep her toes warm with style at a reasonable Cost
Since I envision us doing sledding, building an igloo, and a couple of snowball fights, being water resistant would be a plus, if you can think of any Deals that would include water resistance, that would be a nice Bonus (?)
I can already see that I should buy two pair, so 1 can dry out for 24 hours between use.
Many thanks 👋👋

Can't wait for snow now. So far it's just been slush
I did buy proper snow boots earlier, you need the boots to have insulation at the soles & also water proof for any kinda snow activities. REI has a pretty good collection. It's a little expensive but it's worth it for long term use
