Andddd in for 1. Caved so hard. I was looking at the nanocell 90 for $1100 but blooming being a big issue I decided to hold off.
How can you pass up this high end model for $1200? Is it going to compete with OLED 100%? No but it's damn close enough to not feel like I'm missing out.

Got my dad the U8g and it literally changed his life. And he's seen my OLED TV.

Why would rting do their review without local dimming on? Isn't that the whole point of micro led; much more local dimming zones compared to Samsungs qled tech?

"We tested the local dimming feature with the LED Local Dimming set to 'High', as it delivers the best overall experience"

This set is actually a mini LED, not a micro LED.
Also while I can't speak for RTINGS, I think they test without local dimming to determine the native contrast ratio because a good native contrast ratio is usually indicative of how good it will be with content being displayed that doesn't fully utilize the local dimming. Plus, the native contrast ratio can also be a good indicator of how good the contrast ratio will be WITH local dimming.
