I have PS5 and XSX, and both can't do Dolby vision for 4K Blu Ray so this is only reason why I'm getting this. Also their built in apps used for blu ray have not gotten any better since last gen.

Don't tie 4K which is resolution to HDR. Totally different worlds. Going from standard to HDR10 to Dolby Vision is a big change.

I don't know what brand name or quality of TV you have, but I have a Black Friday Hisense 65" 4K TV, $250 last Black Friday. When I replaced my old Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray player with this one on that TV, it made a world of difference to the quality of both DVD's and Blu-ray's. I'm guessing the TV's 4K upscaler is not nearly as good as this player's 4K upscaler.
