About this item:
The item is in a pristine, like-new condition. It has been professionally inspected, cleaned, and restored by the manufacturer. The item will be in new packaging with original or new accessories.
I used to think this way like 8yrs ago, but as tech and compatiblity between devices gets more complicated, to me it seems people return things for user error, not always the fault of the device. So i have gotten several refurbs that arrive in like new condition (multiple phone upgrades, laptops, headphones) over the past several years, and the the only thing to fail me was the keyboard on my laptop, after 2 yrs of use. And oddly, its working just fine again without a repair
I ordered XM4 then went to Best Buy and tried both and decided to buy NC700. It has more clear and natural sound than XM4. XM3 & XM4 generally said to have "consumer friendly" sound, meaning more bass. Depending on type of music and your tastes it may be preferable but for my taste NC700 was definetly better (I listen to baroque music most). I personally am not interested with ANC jut want the best sound for listening to music.

I second that. My last dell pc was a refurb that I used for 10 years with no issues.

Yeah it really depends on the features that you are interested in and what music you listen to. I got a great deal on a pair on Sennheiser momentum 3 and couldn't be happier.
There are honestly so many great options for wireless headphones in all price points, from the Anker q35 on the cheap end, to the Jabra Elite 85h and Sennheiser 450's in the $150 range; to the XM4 and NC700 that are both still over $100 less than the AirPods Max.
Not sure about the 20% back but with charging case the refurb Bose 700 are ~$250 for me. The new QC45 are $250 at the BX (military). My question is if they were the same price get the 700 or QC45?

you are comparing new QC45 to refurb 700s, but if you dont mind that, I would say 700.
IMO and limited research and trail, I found the 700s to be a little less comfy than my QC 35s and QC 45s are supposed to be exactly same or better in comfort to 35s, so I would think QC 45 are better comfort wise (barely)
Audio quality wise, 700s are supposedly better, and ANC has more levels in 700. Where its a clear difference is the mic quality. the 700 are the best in the category.
EDIT: had to comment on my experience with trying out XM3s earlier, they were definitely less comfortable (to me) than even the 700. Not sure if XM4 improved on comfort side, but ANC, the sony are better than bose. Audio quality, I guess its a personal preference, but Sony are supposed to be better, at least in audio codec support. XM3 mic is worst of all, but XM4s should have improved a bit over it.
Also, XM3 wont support simultaneous dual device cconnection, but XM4s do, as well as all the bose mentioned here (QC 35, 45, and 700)
I owned QC 35 for a few years now (4), and are really tempted to get the 700, but if price is right (< 700), might get XM4. Hard to decide.

Good deal. But there's another post if you want charging case included for another $4.

Seems like this is dead now sadly.
