There was a B2G1 free thing on the 32oz. So I got 3 of those for $16.11. Thanks OP!

How does this compare to Seachem Prime? I currently have prime and wondering if it's worth picking up some of this.

I don't know enough to help you, but they mentioned prime in this expired thread. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/683218

From what I understand, seachem prime will additionally remove ammonia and nitrites.

There still is a buy 3 for the price of 2 deal. I paired this with some Activated Carbon I use (as I don't need more than 32oz of this for a long time).

This is more of a stress coat while prime detoxifies chlorine chloromines and nitrites. I would use both, one to detoxify and one to add slime coat and reduce stress. Prime doesn't have alovera this one does and it works wonders.

Should I use this or tap water conditioner for water changes for an axolotl?

You should not need to use prime if you are using this.
I use API StressCoat for my koi pond. I use prime for my aquariums - for no good reason just historically that is what happened. You kind of go through a lot of this for 1000 gallon pond ... So I was planning to switch to just dechlorinator. But jumping on this deal ... awesome and thanks
