Fun game but too laggy on the switch

Bought this for my son last year and we really regretted it. You would think that since the graphics were so simple the switch could handle it but it definitely cannot when you have it docked with multiple people playing (the way it is intended to be played). I'd say the graphics frame rate probably sits at 10-15 max. It is super hard to understand what is going on and everything is so blurry/laggy/stuttering.

This was $19.99 at my local Target yesterday for Xbox One. I walked away after reading it was all repetitive fighting.

It's great for a few hours with kids 4-7. It is repetitive. It had a nice start but kids don't really get inventory management. I bought Minecraft then heroes edition. Don't think I would get this. Nor would I buy the dlc to finish the story.

And I'm a purist.

Do you know if this plays any better with 2 consoles? I got this for my nephew and I know his neighbor has it as well.

Unfortunately I do not. My son told me that it plays better when he is on his switch just by himself but I'm not sure how it performs when connected with another Switch wirelessly.

I just want to mention that I've been playing this on the Switch and it's really not that bad performance-wise. Sure there is the occasionally lag, but it's seemed like a pretty stable 30 fps in handheld in all my hours of playing, and nothing has bothered me enough to not enjoy my time with the game. I love the game and I'm a big ARPG fan.

I love this game on the Switch Lite, but just be aware that sometimes the game locks and you have to force close it. One time we were just 10 feet from the dungeon exit and the game locked and required a force close.

Even then, I still love this game. It's one of the few games me and my wife love to play.

Was this for the 'hero edition'? I don't think the ultimate edition was ever available in store at Target for Xbox One or PS4.
