This set will age nicely. Not only is it small, it's loaded with highly desirable reprints like Charizard (even non-fans know of the 250k$ card…. Right?) and Mew/Blastoise/Umbreon etc… done almost identically sans a 25th anniversary stamp.
Even the base set is all foil rares and has a $50 "secret" rare Mew as a potential pull…. And a bunch of Pikachu V/VMax reprints too.
The 4 card packs (10 per ETB) are basically collector boosters minus all the crap commons no kid really wants anyway.
In a few years those packs will be in demand because of the uniqueness of the set and the reprints in it. I'm hoarding sealed product myself, so anytime I find a few at retail or better, I'm in!
Sealed product is always the way to "invest" in games like this and Magic. Buy it and hold it. Thank me in a few years. This is a WAY better option than the base sets.

Careful when buying Pokemon cards from Walmart. I recently bought some Pokemon tins and the packs inside were resealed. I reached out to their web support and they said they couldn't do anything about it and I would have to call some number to get further escalation. I emphasize, these were sold and shipped by Walmart and the tins were opened as well as the packs were opened and resealed.

Short term $5-10 long term double or triple value. However, I expect Pokemon to print this set for a while.
