Note: I just purchased this but it looks like it won't arrive until after Christmas (Dec 27th). I'm not sure if that date will vary for others but I wanted to call it out incase anyone else is looking to give this as a gift on Christmas.
Anyone knows if this will withstand real soccer ball?
The frame is made of very thin pvc
I used one for a couple months with our 4yo with a real size 3 ball, but 1 month outside (partial sun) the sun destroyed it to the point of net disintegrating and frame breaking.
So for toddlers and a small real ball, it should be okay. Not for older kids for sure.

In case anyone wants a recommendation for a road tested soccer net that lasts - we've owned the franklin sports blackhawk 4 x3 net (single goal, square shape, not the dome shaped one) for 4 months and it's pretty much as good as new after almost daily use. We don't leave it out overnight but it folds up just like those windshield sun shades. available at

These seem pretty good (similar to other sets I've owned by sports companies), but they don't do enough that the easier to use pop-up style ones can do.
