Great little drill, lightweight and plenty of power.

Before all the haters start commenting on how real men only use 20v, 60v, or some other ridiculous thing. This drill is plenty for most jobs including professional jobs. I recently drilled 50 1/2" holes in joists and studs with a spade bit while running electrical wires and this thing handled the job perfectly. I have plenty of larger (and heavier) drills but why use something heaver than I need?

Sure if you can only get one drill get a 20v. But if you can have more than one, this is a nice addition to your set.

Most DeWalt chargers will charge 20v and 12v. Some (flexvolt chargers) are only 20v/60v. The included charger should do 12v/20v so if you already have 20v tools.. you can share a charger.
Always funny reading the my team is best comments. I have all m12 Fuel tools. Dewalt Xtreme line are great tools with great ergonomics and really decent power to weight ratio. Anyone who gets them will be happy. I'm just not too sure I'd invest in these when Dewalt Atomic line is very similar in size and weight with a slightly bigger 20v battery. And now they have that new battery technology that makes a 20 volt battery just slight bigger than 12v. (of course more expensive)
To me if you are going 12 volt then a barrel battery makes more sense. Milwaukee / Bosch style. Give it that real compact size. If I were to do it again I'd probably go 20v. But i'm happy with the power of my Fuel 12v. They need a updated circular saw and jigsaw though.
I got one of these a during black Friday where you bought a 3AH battery for $50 and got a free bare tool with it. Ended up getting the screwdriver and the drill and couldn't be happier. Already had a bunch of chargers so, two 3AH batteries and two tools for $100 was a super deal. Love this little drill, but the screwdriver is so good for my electronic fixing needs.

I got the same drill, but I didn't own any power tools when I bought.
Then I got the 5 Skill 12v tools for $99.

But now that I read lot about stuff and actually started doing things at new home and fixing stuff with friends in their homes, we learn new stuff and may need the saw, impact wrench, circular saw, etc., thinking should I be getting the Ryobi brush less Hp tool kit, for about $290 for 5 tools with impact wrench. Over period of time, the battery dies and interchanging of batteries across board makes sense.

I haven't yet used any of the power tools. Out of all, Dewalt looked good to me from look and feel, but I think it may get expensive when I build all tools from it. Its 12v system too.

If I do a lot of DIY stuff, at least I could spend or make myself justifiable, but if I do occasional stuff, I am not sure of keep building expensive stuff.

Still having these tools unopened, thinking which one to return, I might have missed the best deals during bf, but I didn't know what I need then. It gets confusing when you start from scratch and just getting started with new diy with less help.

I have 18v Makita, 18v Ridgid, 18v DeWalt, and 12v DeWalt. Most of my stuff is Makita, but i have had the 12v lithium DeWalt since it first came out, and it is my go to for 90% of what i do. Great little drill. Well balanced and durable.

This kit has been this price for a couple months now. So is the 12v Impact combo.

Why is it suddenly popular?
