I guess it's very good comparing to tv speakers and sound bars, can't beat for this price. But what would you guys recommend for home theater speakers with a budget of around 2k for movies/shows and gaming? Are polk signature speakers good or emotiva? I'll get a subwoofer as well in a separate budget..

Can't go wrong with the Polk signature line up in my opinion. S20, S15, S30 (the latter two, I own two pairs) are great. The tower versions will certainly be better. You could also look at JBL Studios or Elacs.

Bought these speaker, I suggest you add a subwoofer, I have to say for under 500 dollar these are hell a lot better then the sound bar I had that cost 500. It sounded cheap to me compare to my KEF Q150, but for $360 almost whole system I am ok with that, after adding a subwoofer very quickly I stopped notice the not perfect sound quality because the sound stage is very good and it's decent though movie or games.
