I bought the 15 key for $100. I was wondering if lack of buttons would be an issue, but you can set each key to nest, so each button can actually open a folder of 14 more macro/commands (and one up directory button). That being said, I love my 15 key, and I don't stream, but mess around with music and green screen stuff with OBS offline. The 2 biggest complaints is the material feels very cheap, like it could easily break, and then the cable isn't modular to the deck so you can't just unplug it from the deck, it's a part of it.
I have this and I have to say it feels super cheap. The "Buttons" aren't buttons they are just rubber over a low quality LCD touchscreen. I love other elgato stuff such as their keylights but this is junk.
I'm very happy with the 15 key one.. so much so that I bought the XL over xmas sales when it was this price. There is a ton you can do with them with their downloadable functions plus you can map hotkeys to them from various apps. You can map hotkeys from displayfusion to the streamdeck too which makes them even more powerful for windows management. They can also be set up to do multi functions with a single key press, toggle between two states or a run through a series of states on multiple presses, etc.
The only thing I really wish they had was a dedicated home/up one level button above the lcd key array. It sucks having to dedicate a LCD button to that on every "page" of keys, especially on the 15 key version which obviously has fewer buttons to begin with. That's one of the reasons I finally sprang for the larger one.
The buttons arent rubber they are more like clear plastic, at least the part you press. The clear plastic buttons are like lenses that magnify the LCD beneath so you can see the button clearly. The LCD does what it needs to do so I don't really have a problem with the quality. The color is vibrant and the resolution is adequate for icons. I've made a bunch of custom icons from screenshots or customizing images I looked up on google for different apps or respresentations of functions. The tactile press of the buttons with customized LCD buttons (even icons changing to represent different action state, eg. mute/unmute, even animated gifs if you want for whatever reason like animated play vs pause state) and the ability to recurse directories and categories of buttons dynamically is what makes this stand out.
To me the functionality is invaluable in a multi monitor array. I do a ton of things with it. I've had the 15 key version since January 2018.

I agree the keys feel really cheap. The first time I pressed one of the buttons I was taken aback at how cheap it felt. I still think the 15 button version is well worth it even with the clear rubber over LED keys.

Edit: turns out the XL does have a modular cable.
Have the 15 key. It supports nesting, multiple pages, and can auto display custom layouts when an app is launched. The 15 key was recently $100.
