You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. Includes the heartwarming base game and three major content updates: explore an expanded world and befriend four new spirit friends!

It's an amazing game. Got a little dust in my eyes a couple times through. Still need to play the DLCs that added two additional passengers (which were released for free if you owned the base game).

It's not a rogue-like. There are building and crafting elements that you can do at your own pace like Stardew but there is no combat.

Its farming on a ship and you can get powers/abilities as you explore different islands.
It also has a good local COOP for people with kids. P2 plays as the cat and can pretty much do the same things as the main character. A lot of the mini games involves just collecting things around the ship so its pretty simple.
My only gripe about it is that framerate takes a hit sometimes in some minigames or when traversing quickly around the ship/islands. Not a deal breaker for me but it is noticeable.
